I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello...

One final note proving that the Ronde is a take-no-prisoners affair. While cleaning my LeMond (I think that's French for jackass) tonight I noticed the rear hub was a little noisy. Upon disassembly I found this. Anybody got spare bearing races for a 2002 Bontrager Select hub? I didn't think so.

dude, they are fine, clean em, grease em up with plenty of Phil and toss em back in. are the races pitted?

It's amazing how shiny bearings can become with a jolly good clean. I use chain lube or similar to clean, then rub that off with a rag. And the green Phil grease is the bid'ness.

What you are seeing is the rust that developes on your balls after you get married. The other boys are right, just put some lube on thier and rub out the rust.
